Ellen DeGeneres Wins Choice Twit Teen Choice Award

aceshowbiz.com reports: The on-going Teen Choice Awards has announced some of its early winners and Ellen DeGeneres is one of them. The talk show host brings home the Choice Twit prize at the 11th annual awards show which is held at Universal Studios Hollywood's Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif.

Taking the stage to accept her gong, Ellen is quoted as telling the audience, "Over two and half million of you are following me, and I still don't know where we're going. I found out a lot of you are following each other. So apparently we're in a big circle." She then jokingly says, "I have celebrity phone numbers, and I'm going to give them out on my Twitter. I just got Zac Efron's a minute ago. I said this is just for me. And Robert Pattinson, I think I have his number.

Greater than that, on the same event Ellen also announces that she will give away $1,000 randomly to someone following her on Twitter starting from next week. "You can apply that toward your college education or to give to someone to help buy you beer," she goes on joking.

Some other early winners at this year's Teen Choice Awards include Zac Efron, Chace Crawford, and Leighton Meester. More awards winners, meanwhile, will be announced soon.

No Kids for Ellen & Portia

okmagazine.com reports: While most of Hollywood seems to be racing towards having babies and adopting children and denying pregnancy rumors, Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi haven't caught the baby bug, and might never.

"No, I don't think we're going to have kids," Ellen tells AOL's Inside/TV when asked if they were going to be moms. " We have animals, and we love them. They don't talk back, and they don't explore their vocal chords out in public."

In addition, the newlyweds do have children in their life already, as Ellen explains they're brand new aunts.

"Portia's brother and his wife just had a baby girl who's a month old now, and it's fun to be a part of that. But no, I think, you know, we definitely thought about it. And it's something I think most people, as a relationship goes on, explore. But it's just a huge responsibility, and I don't know that that's something we want to take on. We're very happily married without children."

The 2009 AfterEllen.com Hot 100

What do you get for the woman who has everything? How about the crowning achievement of being No. 1 on the AfterEllen.com Hot 100 list? Admittedly, things have already been going well for the Australian-born out actress, what with getting married to Ellen DeGeneres, starring in a new series (Better Off Ted) and signing on for the long-awaited Arrested Development movie. And its been a pleasure for all of her long-term queer fans to watch her embrace her status as a high-profile out performer.

While her gay marriage PSA on Jimmy Kimmell Live! was funny, her charming debut appearance on her wife's wildly popular talk show perhaps did more for gay visibility and gay rights than anything overtly "political" might have accomplished. Watching the obviously devoted DeGeneres playfully interview her wife, and even win a round of The Newlywed Game with her against a heterosexual couple, spoke quiet volumes about love, commitment, and true equality. Talent, smarts, looks and being out is clearly a winning combination.
